Charge-Coupled Devices often deliver non standard noises, with a power spectrum proportional to a real power of 1/f over several decades (depending on biasing and temperature). On the other hand, CCD signal acquisition systems are frequently non stationary in their structure: the Wiener-Kintchin theorem is not valid for evaluating noise power and signal to noise ratio. In this paper, the chain is seen as a continuous state-variable time-varying system with a fractional-noise input, modelled from a diffusive representation of fractional integrators.
